Cheryl Meakins

Associate Director of Congregational Care

My Story:

I am in my last year of seminary at North Park Theological Seminary. I have completed a certificate in Spiritual Direction and am working toward my Master of Divinity. I have worked as an Occupational Therapist and as an Executive Director for a local nonprofit. I currently work as a Chaplain at Lutheran Medical Center and have served as a chaplain since pre-pandemic 2020. I have been a member at ACC for 18 years and served as a lay leader in some aspect for most of that time. I am excited to now be serving on staff with our church! I married Mark in 1998. We have two adults and one teenager; Samantha, Nathaniel, and Lydia.

My Job:
As the Associate Director of Congregational Care at ACC, I will be connecting with the needs of our congregation, primarily but not exclusively for those residing at Covenant Living. I desire to companion people through the challenges and joys in life and to tune our eyes and ears to how God is at work in the midst of life. I look forward to building relationships, listening to God’s invitation, and partnering with our church body to serve our community in love.
