MOVIE NIGHT: "ASIAN AMERICANS" PBS DOCUMENTARY-PART FIVE

December 9, 2022 11:00 AM

 - 1:00 PM

"Asian Americans" is a five-hour film series that chronicles the contributions and challenges of Asian Americans, the fastest-growing ethnic group in America. It delivers a bold, fresh perspective on a history that matters today, more than ever. As America becomes more diverse, and more divided while facing unimaginable challenges, how do we move forward together? Told through intimate personal stories, the series will cast a new lens on U.S. history and the ongoing role that Asian Americans have played.
We want to continue learning more about the American experience and American history from the perspective of Black, Indigenous, People of Color (BIPOC) individuals. On the second Friday of each month, the Love Mercy, Do Justice (LMDJ) team will host a gathering to view one of the 1-hour episodes from this PBS documentary and then have a time of discussion. Contact Laura for more information and/or if you will be needing childcare.
Ken Williams Service Change
The memorial service for Ken Williams, originally planned for Rockland Community Church, has been moved to Arvada Covenant due to a power outage at Rockland. The service will now take place on Saturday, December 20 at 1:30 p.m. We hope you will join us as we remember and give thanks for the life of this faithful servant.
