SERMON NOTES, 5/15/22

Galatians 1:1-10

Paul’s letter to the Galatians reflects Paul’s desire for the church to live into the freedom that is theirs in Jesus Christ. While the circumstances that Paul faced with the Galatian Church may not be exactly what we face, we will discover that “freedom in Christ” is foundational for Paul’s understanding of the Gospel.

Questions for Reflection:

  1. When you hear the phrase “freedom in Christ” describe what that means to you
  2. What are some ways that our freedom in Christ is at risk if we allow others to shape our understanding of the Gospel?
  3. If your neighbor asks you to explain how becoming a disciple of Jesus gives freedom and not just another constraint, what would you tell them?
