Questions for reflection:
  1. Jesus teaches that loving God and neighbor are fundamental dimensions of the kingdom. How have you seen these characteristics of the kingdom reflected in your experience as a follower of Jesus?
  2. Some would claim that Jesus was primarily interested in personal conversion rather than caring for the poor. Where do you see this dichotomy in Jesus’ ministry? (hint: it’s not there)
  3. How is God’s two-fold desire to love God and neighbor reflected in your practice of discipleship? What steps can you take to re-introduce one or the other of these practices into your spiritual life?
