We All Make a Difference

The best life is a life that helps others and invests energy, time, and resources in what God is doing.  If you want to see more of God’s goodness and grace in your everyday take time each week to pursue the good for others.  We want to help everyone find ways to give their lives to others through gatherings at our church and gatherings in our community.  Here are some opportunities:

The Welcome Team helps to create a warm and inviting environment for everyone who joins us on Sunday mornings.  The team is made up of greeters, Welcome Desk host, coffee hosts, ushers, Next Step volunteers, and prayer team volunteers.  Most of these volunteer positions help out once a month at one of the Sunday gatherings.

Our Children’s Team builds up and strengthens children and their families.  They believe in investing in the next generation at each and every stage they walk through.  Volunteers lead small groups of kids focused on relationships, teach large group gatherings, lead worship songs, gather supplies for crafts and object lessons, hold and care for infants, and build creative and exciting environments.  We would love to have you join our exciting team.

The Student Team invests in the next generation by showing up in the lives of Middle School and High School students. We want every student to connect to another student, an adult Small Group Leader, which we believe enables them to grow CLOSER to God.  Volunteers are given the tools to lead a small group of gender and grade specific students on Sunday mornings or Tuesday nights.  The Student staff team will help you find a place to volunteer that connects with your talents, abilities, and time constraints.

Music has a way of unlocking our hearts in powerful and surprising ways.  Our Worship Arts team works to create environments where people can sense God’s love and presence in their everyday lives.  Musicians, artists, sound techs, visual arts, lighting specialists, and creative people help plan, implement, and evaluate our Sunday morning gatherings.  Would you like to join the team?

ACC loves our neighborhood: The love of God compels us to seek hope, justice, and good for those in our community and our neighbors. Investing your life is something bigger than yourself is a great way to experience God in your everyday. There are 6 local outreach opportunities that we are committed to as a community of faith: Alternatives Pregnancy Center, Arvada West High School Community Partnership, Growing Home (homeless family outreach), International Students (connecting with students from around the world in our area), Royal Family Kids’ Camp (mentoring for children in the foster care system), Whiz Kids (after school tutoring and mentoring).

God is at work all around the world and there is nothing like seeing that first hand.  Our short term mission experiences are based in long-term relationships.  We have had ongoing relationships with four core international opportunities.  There is more information about each one of these teams on our International Opportunities page.  Let us know if you are interested in joining a team for one of the trips.  Several of them are great for families!
