Loving the Stranger: Connecting with Muslims

Come Join us for an exciting weekend as we learn about the world’s second largest religion and hear from experienced experts on how to love and reach out to followers of Islam with the love and Good News of Jesus Christ. Both options listed below will be wonderful opportunities to increase our understanding of Islam and the worldview of it’s followers.

Saturday, October 10 – 7 PM

Panel of Experts Discussion – Georges Houssney, Patricia Raybon, Professor Bill Watson.
Arvada Covenant will host a panel discussion centered on, Connecting with Muslims. Pastor John Martz, will be the moderator with our panel; Georges Houssney, Founder and President of Horizons International and author of the book, Engaging Islam; Patricia Raybon, author of the book, Undivided: A Muslim Daughter, Her Christian Mother, Their Path to Peace; and ACC’s very own Professor Bill Watson who teaches history at Colorado Christian University, and has taught on the subject of Islam for over 35 years. There is also a Q & A and a dessert fellowship following the discussion.

Sunday, October 11 – 9 and 10:45 AM

On Sunday, Georges Houssney will be our guest as he shares at both Sunday services. Georges immigrated to the United States from Beirut, Lebanon. Twenty-five years ago, he founded Horizons International, a global missions organization dedicated to proclaiming the gospel, discipling the nations and equipping the church. Georges is passionate about sharing the love of Christ with the world, especially the Muslim world, and he has devoted his life to that end. Patricia Rayon will share her powerful message on Sunday morning at 9 am with our Student Ministry program.
